Art campaign to mark the enlargement of the European Union: in order to realise a Europe-wide art campaign I am asking you as a European artist for your assistance. As a symbol for a new Europe which is growing together in solidarity, I would like citizens throughout Europe to open 10000 sunshades or umbrellas on the day of the EU enlargement.

However, I need more participants from many countries.

1. Open your sunshade/umbrella for a short time on 1 May 2004 at 13 (12 Central European Summer Time).
2. Register your sunshades/umbrellas by e-mail as soon as possible. You only need to give the number of sunshades/umbrellas and your country to do this, e.g. "2 umbrellas, Estland".

Please tell many other people about the project. Everyone can take part.

Already 1330 sunshades/umbrellas takes part.

For peace in Europe and in the world!
The art-project expresses the readiness for respectful cooperation, for peace and for communication in a new Europe of the future. During the world is shocked by terror and war, the art campaign take a sign for peace and friendship in europe and in the world.
